Green Technology

Green Technology? It almost sounds like a contradiction of terms. It is not. We have learned through the years that technology should improve and protect the environment not destroy it. As an example one of the benefits of using green technology in building is it reduces the environmental impact such as reducing emissions and water consumption. To be honest that can be considered green technology but it is not limited to that and not the scope of what we are covering in this page.

Environmental technology, green technology or clean technology is the application of one or more of environmental science, green chemistry, environmental monitoring and electronic devices to monitor, model and conserve the natural environment and resources, and to curb the negative impacts of human involvement. That is the definition you will find on Wikpedia. Also not what we are addressing here.

So now that we have told you what we are not talking about and have addressed the fact that all of the above are important. Let's discuss exactly what we are talking about.

Green tech or technology is an umbrella term that describes the use of technology and science to create products that are environmentally friendly. The goal of green tech is to protect the environment and in some cases, repair damage done in the past. Let's clarify that a little more: Green technology needs to provide for the needs of a current generation while protecting and enhancing the needs of future generqations. If it does not meet this criteria it IS NOT green technology.

In the past we have developed technology that only met the current needs and for the most part ignorede the needs of future generations. This is no longer the case and here we do not indulge in such practices. Sustainable and infinitely expandable technology is our goal. To achieve this we do not build cookie cutter software, equipment or applications. We study the need and decide how to approach it from an organic standpoint. This involves ascertaining if the goal is to create something that has a benefit for the environment and a long term goal of sustainability. If it does not, we don't do it period.

The planet has given us so much it is past time for us to return the favor. We will continue to strive for excellence and a cleaner brighter more sustainable future using the skills we have and the knowledge we have gasined through the years. We hope you will join us and help u help the planet. You can do so by Getting Involved Today.
